Growing up Felicity enjoyed an environment where art was a part of her everyday life; her father Warrick Palmateer is a renowned ceramic artist and her mother studied fashion design. Felicity’s nomadic lifestyle provides a source of constant inspiration and water is a recurring theme in Felicity’s work. She uses watercolours and inks to recreate the fluidity and perpetual movement of the ocean. Felicity’s affiliation with the ocean also fuels the energy inherent within her artwork and manifests bold, bright colours that flow and blend like water lapping the sand.
